STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

It has been centuries since classicists like Newton offered concepts that altered our knowledge of the natural world, and the study of Physics continues to open up new worlds to this day. Since elementary school, I’ve been fascinated by the topic of physics because it can explain various phenomena experienced in everyday life. This passion inspired me to pursue additional education and study in the discipline, with the hope of one day working as a researcher. My passion for the subject has grown with each passing year of my life as I went on a mission to study every facet of this interesting subject in depth. And in order to accomplish this, I wish to pursue my PhD from your esteemed university.

Paving my way into the field of Physics, I pursued my Bachelor of Science Hons. in Physics, wherein I explored subjects like Mechanics, Mathematics, Electromagnetic Theory, Thermal Physics, and many more. Even after completing my undergrad, I continued to feel the urge to dig deeper into the field, which motivated me to pursue my Master of Science in Theoretical Physics. Steering through my master’s, I worked on a project based on the General Theory of Relativity. The project was titled: Calculating Ricci Curvature Tensor and Ricci Scalar for the Traversable Wormhole and was supervised by (Name). Using the Morris and Thorne metric, I derived the mathematical formulae for the Ricci Curvature Tensor (R00, R11, R22, & R33) and Ricci Scalar (R) for the traversable Wormhole. Working on this insightful project helped leverage my technical acumen and broadened my horizon. It also ingrained in me communication, observation, research, critical thinking, brainstorming, and problem-solving skills. Having accomplished so much in life, I felt like I had already passed several milestones. Hence, I decided to pass on the knowledge that I had acquired so far. My urge to teach the concepts and theories understood by me drove me to pursue a Bachelor of Education in Physics and Mathematics. I believe that one can not evolve at the stake of the upcoming generations without considering the lagging world and can only learn better when in the company of other learned men and women.

I have published two papers, one of which was (Name of Paper). I worked on this paper while serving as a Research Trainee at the (Name of firm) As a Research Trainee, I completed all tasks that assisted higher-level professionals in conducting research and experiments. While conducting studies in the research laboratory, I ensured quality control requirements and aided in the completion of end-to-end research for the assigned projects, including data collection, evaluation and analysis, and reporting in the form of documentation and papers. Moving on, I worked as a Research Trainee at the (Name of firm), wherein I published a paper, (Name of Paper). While I served here, data about Super-Earths, Neptune-Like Gas Giants and Terrestrial Planets were gathered for several scientific catalogs. The data were analyzed graphically using characteristics such as eccentricity, habitability, orbital period, and orbital radius. This entire experience was highly-insightful and aided in taking my learnings to the next level.

Stepping into the real-time world, I am currently working as an Assistant Professor of Physics at the (Name of Institute). My duties include teaching cadets seeking the Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) and supervising the applied science lab. I am also currently working on a Computational Project titled: Modelling of the Binary Stars. Period04 is used to estimate the orbital period in the project. Gaussian Fitting (Python) is used to estimate radial velocity. I am using Phoebe to Model a Binary System (real-world data: modeling to predict stellar and orbital parameters) and MESA-based binary evolution (simulation: theoretical evolution software).

Besides, I have worked in several roles throughout my vast professional life. I started my venture by working remotely as a Subject Matter Expert for (Name of firm)., where I addressed complex Physics and Mathematics problems presented by various colleges and high school students on the CONECTS App. Moving on, I worked remotely as a Managed Network Expert and Tutor. Taking a plunge into the field and working full-time, I interned as a teacher at (Name of school) as part of my B. Ed internship. I taught middle-school kids math and science. In the school, I organized a variety of workshops and competitions to help kids improve in a variety of ways. I have also worked as a Blogger at (Name of Company). During that time, I published numerous articles and blogs about Astrophysics and Physics. I have conducted considerable research to identify the most popular Astrophysics and Physics topics in order to write detailed write-ups on them. I used WordPress to optimize and publish the blogs on (Name of Company) official website. Having passed several crossroads in life, I am now convinced to travel to the depths of Physics and accept the challenges that come my way by conducting intensive and expansive research-based studies. Hence, I am determined to pursue a PhD in Physics.

It is my dream to pursue this study program in the UK as the academic community in the United Kingdom is the world’s largest. Many overseas students come to the UK to study for a variety of reasons, including high academic standards, a distinctive curriculum, a global perspective, and numerous employment options. Many of the world’s top colleges comprise within the country, and many of them continuously rank high in global university rankings. Universities in the country are also noted for their high educational standards, stringent quality-control procedures, and adaptable educational structures. I wish to use the country’s resources in the best possible manner to do further research in my field of choice.

Upon successful completion of my PhD, I intend to either work in the R&D Industries or as a University Faculty, Researcher, Scientific Officer, etc. In the long run, I hope to conduct additional research in this area. I am confident that the PhD from your esteemed university will be the foundation of my successful future career.
